Autodesk’s Fusion 360 is the first 3D CAD, CAM, and CAE tool that brings together all the tools and collaboration capabilities needed to for an entire product development process into a single cloud-based platform.
It provides a complete spectrum of design capabilities, including freeform modelling, 3D animation and rendering as well as 2D drawing capability in the cloud, along with simulation and testing and computer–aided manufacturing resources. As everything is done in the cloud, designers and engineers can work together throughout the process.
Anyone can download a free 30-day trial and try it out on a PC or Mac. In-product tutorials help users get up and running. The Fusion 360 service is available for as little as $25 per month on an annual subscription, or $40 month-to-month. Teachers and students can get access for free.
