SmartphoneA flurry of launches ahead of release of Apple’s iPhone 6s this year saw global smartphone shipments 9.1% higher in Q3 than they were in the second three months of the year according to research firm Trendforce.

The firm said that 332 million units were shipped by manufacturers. The annual increase is expected to be 9.3% in 2015, but moderate to 7.7% in 2016, largely due to an expected slowdown in Far Eastern markets.
