IBM is to build four new data centres in the UK to meet demand from corporate and public sector clients, who it says are rapidly adopting cloud services. The investment will see IBM increase from two data centres to six. The firm’s decision follows the likes of Facebook and Google who have decided that the advantages of investing in the UK outweigh the risks presented by Brexit. An IBM spokesman said: ‘UK customers truly understand the capabilities of cloud to drive innovation, to be more flexible on their business model, to have better insight for decision making and to deliver better customer service.’ read more
